Initiative Terms & Conditions of Application
What is the Initiative?
As part of our continued support of creating change through entertainment, Channel 4 proudly supports B Corp: creating positive impacts through business is a program developed by Channel 4 and B Lab, aimed to elevate and grow B Crop Businesses through the power of TV Advertising.
The initiative will see up to five B Corp Businesses funded with £100,000 worth of advertising spend each on Channel 4.
From here-on, Channel 4 and B Lab will be referred to as ‘The Organisers’
Applications will open on Monday 3rd March 2025, and close on Friday 11th April 2025.
Who is eligible to apply?
To qualify for the initiative, businesses must be able to prove the following:
Companies will be selected based on their suitability for the initiative and fit with Channel 4
- Must be B Corp Certified in the UK under the registered company name
- Your business must have generated a minimum revenue turnover of £500,000 in the last financial year.
- Your business must not have invested into TV advertising since 2022
- Proof of existence and provide a company number and VAT number
- Your founder is over 18 years of age
- Your product must be in the market for at least 6 months [from date of application]
- Must have a supply chain capable of managing projected volume that TV can bring
- Must have professional indemnity insurance of at least £1m as well as public liability insurance of at least £10m
- Stage 2 of this application requires a clear cast approved video copy or storyboard (with the means to produce the ad with the timelines outlined - details of what Clear Cast need can be found here https://clearcast.co.uk/clearance-process/
- Businesses will also be asked how they demonstrate commitment to impact and the B Corp movement.
The Application Process
The application process will be grouped into 2 separate stages:
1st stage: Initial written application
2nd stage: Face to face interview [we will endeavour to accommodate special requests if you cannot make it in person]
After the closing date [11th April 2025], the applications will be reviewed by The Organisers, and shortlist to up to 10 businesses. The successful businesses will be contacted by email by Monday 28th April 2025. Unsuccessful businesses will also be contacted before this time.
The short-listed businesses will be invited to a live, in-person interview with the Organisers. Interview requirements will be sent to the short-listed businesses only.
The final interviews will take place in person during the week commencing 2nd June 2025
Inability to attend the interview [in person or remote] will result in your application being removed from the initiative.
You acknowledge and agree that Organisers shall have sole and absolute discretion in (i) determining whether an applicant has met the eligibility criteria and the requirements of these T&Cs, (ii) selecting the shortlisted applicants for a face to face interview and (iii) selecting the successful applicants. The decision of the Organisers will be final and no discussions will be entered into.
The Organisers (acting reasonably) reserve the right not to select any businesses or shortlist any applications, and/or to remove or amend selection criteria and/or the structure and operation if the applications are not of the requisite standard.
The successful businesses will be notified by [week commencing 9th June 2025] and publicly announced at a later date determined by the Organisers.
The unsuccessful shortlist applicants will also be notified by [week commencing 9th June 2025]
The Organisers reserve the right to amend the initiative terms during the selection process if it is deemed necessary. In this event, The Organisers will notify all applicants of the change and will publish the updated Terms on the website www.channel4sales.co.uk
By submitting your application you warrant and represent that your ideas and all other material submitted and/or presented as part of your application (i) do not contain nor are dependent upon third party material or rights; (ii) do not contain anything which infringes the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, or which is defamatory of any person.
The Organisers cannot accept responsibility for any applications that are lost, mislaid or damaged, regardless of cause, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Organisers will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any applicant or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of participating in the application process except where it is caused by the Organisers negligence. Your statutory rights are not affected.

By applying for the initiative, we reserve the rights to conduct a full research analysis post campaign to see how campaign performed and share this externally.
These T&Cs shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
