The channel4.com homepage re-launched early in 2009, with a bold new design featuring a daily hero image and picture-based links to Channel 4 shows. The radical design is striking and contains no regular ad formats, allowing Future and Digital Media Ad Sales to offer innovative, bespoke homepage takeovers to commercial partners.Advertisers can occupy the whole space taken up by the hero image and can incorporate animation, video, and leave-behind logos into the design.
Paramount used channel4.com to launch their Transformers 2 film promotion – the takeover saw the Channel 4 logo transform into a robot head which clicked through to the full trailer.
The new homepage offers advertisers the chance to own the channel4.com homepage, achieving c.100,000 page impressions, with a truly individual campaign.
